Greetings, Colleagues!
I'm looking for a few more workshops to round out the agenda for the 4th annual Montana CBT Conference, taking place this year on October 3-4, in Helena, MT.
Conference presenters will receive a free registration to the conference. If you submit a proposal that is NOT selected, you will receive a $40 off registration coupon to thank you for your efforts.
I would love to see some proposals that will meet the annual 2 hour suicide training requirement, but I'm open to a variety of other topics as well. Please submit proposals that include the following:
1) Presentation title
2) A paragraph describing the presentation, including how it will relate to principles of cognitive-behavioral therapy and provide direct, applicable clinical skills. (3rd wave behavioral therapies, such as ACT, DBT, or mindfulness will also be considered).
3) 3-4 measurable learning objectives
4) Preferred session length, (preferably 1.5-2 hours)
5) Brief bio on presenter (if selected you will also need to provide a headshot and resume).
I will be selecting workshops by the end of May, so please email your proposal by May 13, and contact me with questions.
If you have never attended, the conference is a great opportunity for networking and learning in person. Earn 12 CE hours and walk away with strategies that are directly applicable to your clients. All mental health professionals are welcome, whether or not you are primarily a CBT practitioner.
Day 1 Sneak Peak:
Keynote by Dr. Cara Palmer, director of the MSU Sleep and Development Lab. She’ll be speaking about her research on sleep and mental health and why so many adolescents and adults struggle to get enough.
Then, we’ll dive in to an in-depth training on delivering CBT for Insomnia. You’ll walk away with the gold standard protocol on helping your clients improve their sleep.
First day concludes with a workshop on ACT for Chronic Pain/ Illness
Day 2 will include 2-3 more workshops…maybe led by YOU!
Please reach out if you have any questions about the conference. I’ll be launching the registration website in early June. Until then, I’ll share more details via this newsletter as conference planning continues.
Be well! Hope to see you in October.
